Attorneys join LRS panels by certifying their area(s) of practice, completing an application and agreement to comply with rules and law, and paying an annual membership fee.
Participating attorneys return to LRS a portion of any fees paid by clients to help support legal services operations of NCLA, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization.
An annual fee of $100 allows the attorney to choose three practice areas plus family law. (That’s our area of greatest need, so we do not charge extra for it.) Any additional practice areas are $25 each. An attorney experience questionnaire must be completed for each practice area and submitted with the application.
Referrals are made on a rotational basis within each of the 20 counties we serve in 18 practice areas, so you will get your fair share of referrals.
Attorneys certify that they will also forward 10 percent of fees over $300 to LRS.
